Mobile Money Continues to Expand, is it another gold rush
Mobile money industry continues to expand at an unparalleled rate, with 150 live mobile money services for the unbanked, 41 of which were launched in 2012. In addition, the industry is also becoming increasingly competitive, with 40 markets identified as having at least two different mobile money services available – GSMA
So of course how much more growth is there, with 87% of the worlds population owning a mobile, some 6 Billion people and some 196 countries in the world, that leaves us with only another 156 countries to launch mobile money in based on the GSMA survey!
